Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Epic Electric Scooters Inc., operating as Your Touring ("we", "us"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website and related online services (the "Service"). We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other local privacy laws. By using the Service you consent to the practices described here. Contact for privacy matters: support@epicelectricscooters.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Email address, when you purchase a pass, redeem a store code, sign in, or contact us.
- Payment information, processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment, the card brand, and the last four digits only; we never receive or store full card numbers.
- Business account details: business name, address, phone, website, contact name, logo, and team member emails.
- Content you submit, such as custom stops, preferences, and support messages.
Information collected automatically:
- Location data, with your permission, to build routes from your position, navigate between stops, and default the stop library to your city. Location is used in real time; we retain only what is needed for your active tours and progress, not a continuous movement history.
- Usage data: tours built and completed, stops selected, passes activated, code redemptions, pages viewed, and interactions, with timestamps.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, language, and referral URLs.
- Cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions, preferences, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser; essential cookies are required for the Service to work.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: build and save tours, navigate, activate and track passes, process payments, and redeem store codes.
- To manage accounts, send sign-in links, receipts, and service communications.
- To provide business subscribers with aggregated redemption statistics. Businesses see redemption counts, dates, and times relating to their own code; where an email is shown to a business it is limited to what is needed to administer redemptions.
- To improve the Service, including which stops and routes are most used, and to develop new features.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, enforce limits (such as one code redemption per email per business per 24 hours), and protect the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting.
- With your consent, to send marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
4. Legal bases (where GDPR applies)
We process personal information as necessary to perform our contract with you (providing tours and passes), for our legitimate interests (improving and securing the Service, preventing fraud), to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent (location access, marketing), which you may withdraw at any time.
5. How we share information
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: payment processing (Stripe), mapping and places data (Google Maps Platform), hosting and databases, email delivery, and analytics. They may use personal information only to provide their services to us.
- Participating businesses: aggregated statistics about redemptions of their own code, as described above.
- Legal and safety: where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or us.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
6. International transfers
Our providers may store or process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries. Where information is transferred out of your jurisdiction, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, and it may be accessible to authorities in those countries under local law.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; transaction records as required by tax law (generally 7 years); usage logs for shorter operational periods. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information except what we must retain by law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, passwordless sign-in links for individual accounts, and hashed passwords for business accounts. No system is completely secure; notify us immediately at support@epicelectricscooters.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Withdraw consent, including turning off location access in your browser or device, or unsubscribing from marketing.
- Where GDPR applies: portability, restriction, and objection rights, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
- In Canada, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To exercise rights, contact support@epicelectricscooters.com or use the tools in your account (change email, delete account and data). We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Purchases and accounts require the age of majority. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@epicelectricscooters.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the new version with its date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
